XML, HTML, SGML, PO, XLIFFASSERTIO uses the latest technology to optimise the translation work flow, ensure terminology consistency, re-use already existing translations and guarantee the quality of translated texts. Project control softwareWEPUASSERTIO has developed this application for the management and comprehensive monitoring of translation and localization projects. WEPU is a web application which enables the efficient and centralised control of the work flow of translation projects. Computer assisted translation (CAT) toolsCAT (computer-assisted translation) tools integrate a translation memory (database) of already translated sentences, meaning that the same sentence need not be translated twice. The use of translation memories increases the consistency of a translation, since it permits previous translations to be consulted and reduces costs, given that the total number of words to be translated decreases.
Currently, ASSERTIO LS works with various CAT tools, such as: Trados, Transit XV, IBM TM2, Passolo, Alchemy Catalyst, Across, MemoQ, Translation Workspace. Machine translationASSERTIO offers post-editing services for texts generated using automatic translation tools. This way, the automatically translated texts are checked by a human translator.
Although automatic translation tools are still imperfect, this technology offers promising results in certain language combinations and areas. |
